Bluebeard (1972 film)

Bluebeard is a 1972 thriller starring Richard Burton, Raquel Welch, Joey Heatherton and Sybil Danning, filmed in Budapest and Hungary by Edward Dmytryk and based on the classic story Bluebeard by Charles Perrault about a wealthy aristocrat Burton who murders his wives.

Bluebeard received generally negative reviews and did little for Burtons career. Thanks to a cast featuring eight international beauties, a Playboy pictorial, an insinuating score by Ennio Morricone and a clever ad campaign, Bluebeard was a modest box office success.
